What is honey and why do bees make it?

Honey is a sugary substance with a viscous consistency and a blond color that bees produce from the nectar collected on flowers, digesting it in part and enriching it with enzymes, then regurgitating it and storing it inside the cells of the honeycomb.
Bees produce honey to have a food supply and, in particular, to be able to get through the long winter period.
There are infinite varieties of honey, corresponding to the many blooms in the world. In our territory the main varieties are: acacia (or black locust), lime, chestnut, mountain flowers (composed of the blooms of the valleys and high alpine pastures).
