TANGO!

20:30

place:

Stabio Middle School Great Hall
Via Ligornetto 12

CH - 6855 Stabio

After the success of last season, violinist Anton Jablokov, cellist Claude Hauri and pianist Adam Kuruc return with a new project. For the occasion with the extraordinary participation of bandoneonist Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, in a revisitation of the great classics of Tango and retracing the history of this fascinating musical genre.

Tango is a crossroads between different musical worlds. Born in Argentina and Uruguay from the cultural fusion between European immigrants, natives of the Rio de la Plata region and the descendants of African slaves, it tells the stories of men and women who develop in a popular urban context. From its popular origins, this artistic expression matured in the last decades of the 19th century as a response to the mood of an era characterized by separations, meetings, travels, hopes and dreams, later becoming a globally recognized and appreciated genre.
