What is the furrow?
A furrow is a slit in the ground, more or less wide and deep, created by a plow or other agricultural tool and is used to prepare the ground for sowing by creating spaces where plants can germinate. To facilitate irrigation and water drainage, furrows with a greater depth are dug across and around the fields, acting as inlet and outlet channels for rainwater, helping to manage the flow of water and prevent stagnation.
