What is a harrow and what is it used for?
The harrow is a versatile agricultural tool that performs several functions. After plowing, it crumbles clods and levels the soil, facilitating sowing and other agricultural processes. During the phases following sowing, it covers the seeds to protect them and promote germination, and is also used to bury the fertilizer spread on the ground. Structurally, it has a rectangular or triangular frame with iron or wooden teeth, as well as a hooking ring or a handle. Over time, numerous versions have been developed in different materials (brushwood, wood, metal) and sizes. Originally powered by animals or humans, today it is towed by tractors.
