What is the warping spindle and what was it used for?
The warping spindle is a tool composed of a wooden base, in which two vertical supports are fixed, where the spindle was placed on which a bobbin was mounted. The warping spindle was used to unravel skeins, generally placed on the arcolaio or swift, or balls of yarn and to wind the yarn on the bobbin intended for warping and weaving.
