The reed spindle is a tool composed of a wooden base, in which two vertical supports are fixed, where the spindle was placed on which a shuttle was mounted. The reed spindle was used to unravel skeins, generally placed on the spinning wheel, or balls of yarn and to wind the thread on the shuttle intended for warping and weaving.
