In the Sottoceneri the most famous printing house was in Lugano while in the Sopraceneri it was in Biasca.
There are oral testimonies that attest to the presence of printing houses also in Mendrisio and in the Muggio Valley, in Faido, Prato Leventina, Anzonico, Locarno and in the Maggia Valley.
