How and when does a rabbit become a pet?
After the mid-twentieth century, when the food crisis subsided, the rabbit gradually abandoned its purely economic function to become more and more frequently a pet. As a result, rabbit farming became a pastime for many breeders, which was also given an educational role in the face of the challenges of modern society. For the new generations, raising rabbits represented a useful way to spend their free time that few had been accustomed to until then, thus freeing young people from idleness and allowing them to remain connected with nature.
